Incoming article date: 06.12.2025This article analyzes the planning organization of the city of Rostov-on-Don within the framework of implementing the concept of sustainable development and identifies existing spatial and functional imbalances. Dense, mixed-style development, congested transport infrastructure, and uneven distribution of green spaces negatively impact not only the city's environmental status but also the quality of life of the population, necessitating a comprehensive consideration of environmental, spatial, and socioeconomic aspects to optimize urban planning decisions.
