  • Geological peculiarities of subway overpasses construction in Thu Thuem district, Ho Chi Minh

This article examines the range of issues related to the construction of the subway in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, using the example of the newly built Thu Thuem area as an example. The problem of construction lies in the difficult mining and geological conditions of Ho Chi Minh City. The geological structure has terrigenous-mineralogical associations, which makes the underground tunneling of the subway lines very difficult. Therefore it was decided to build the subway on trestles, but the calculation of foundations on terrigenous-mineralogical associations requires a detailed geological study.

Keywords: subway, terrigenous-mineralogical associations, overpasses, geological structure, Ho Chi Minh City, geological structure, Thu Tiem district

  • Formation of structural links in argillit-like clay clays Sochi-Formation in Sochi

The article is devoted to identify the causes of specific behavior argillit-like clay clays Sochi suites at bid opening and interaction with water. The article outlines the history of rock formation, from the deposition of the primary clay material on the bottom of the sedimentation basin to convert it into a highly lithified argillaceous rocks, generating mechanism contacts between the clay particles and the type of contacts formed.

Keywords: Argillit-like clay, engineering geology, catagenesis, construction, swelling, the density of the soil, cutting the road

  • The methodology of rock strenght testing by the non-destructive way in the transport tunnel

This article describes a method of testing rock and semi rock strength non-destructively using the device "Schmidt Hammer." The article justified by the benefits of this method, as well as features and test procedures.

Keywords: rocks, strength, fracture, the value of drip, soil tests, the angle of incidence, dip azimuth.

  • Evaluation of geological hazards and risks of the Eastern Donbass agglomeration

To the East Donbass agglomeration has developed thematic maps of subsiding soils, indicating their capacity, groundwater levels, surface subsidence above mining, landslide and erosion hazards. Sources of information were the materials of the geological surveys, maps and literature data, and numerical modeling. For the purposes of industrial and civil construction built the final map of the cumulative effects of geological hazards.

Keywords: geological hazard, modeling, geofiltration, subsidence, landslides, erosion, underflooding, agglomeration.

  • Complex assessment of geological hazards of the territories of Rostov region

To the Volgodon settlement-system has developed thematic maps of subsiding soils, indicating their capacity, groundwater levels, landslide and erosion hazards. Sources of information were the materials of the geological surveys, remote sensing of the Earth and local geological maps . Application of GIS-technologies and numerical geofiltration has significantly increased the quality of the results. On the basis of the results, has developed a comprehensive map of geological hazards.

Keywords: geological hazard, modeling, geofiltration, subsidence, landslides, erosion, underflooding, remote sensing

  • Geo-ecological consequences of drawdown- suffusion processes

The research of the proluvial and eluvial-diluvial loess-like loams with wide distribution in the Kuban plain was conducted. In this work the properties of the collapsible loess soils, which developed the processes that lead deformation of the engineering structures, violation of planning fields, to their water logging, etc, was considered. The analysis of subsidence processes, their origins and causes activation is provided. The link between subsidence and suffusion processes was conditioned. It is proved that the subsidence processes significantly affect the safety and population’s comfort living. The issues about the regime observations of these processes are raised.

Keywords: Drawdown, suffusion, soil, loess material, geodynamics, geo-ecology.
