The article presents data on the possible activation of biocenosis due to the electrostatic fields on the structure of colonies of microorganisms. The results of experimental studies on the effects of constant electric fields on Biosystems and the substantiation of the mechanism of activation of microorganism colonies. Studies have shown that the electrostatic field activate colonies of microorganisms, there may be a change in pH of the aquatic environment, concentrations of suspended solids, the specific rate of oxidation of microorganisms, the concentration of biochemically oxidizable organic compounds (hereinafter BOD5), chemical oxygen demand (hereinafter COD), the efficiency of wastewater treatment. In the system with electrostatic treatment recorded the emergence of molecular hydrogen.
