Abstract
Numerical study of the effect of dust deposits on heat transfer in porous heat exchangers
Incoming article date: 05.03.2025A study of heat transfer in porous heat exchangers with a sediment of dust particles was carried out. The influence of heat exchanger length and the presence of sediment on the Nusselt number was studied. It was revealed that increasing the length of the heat exchanger from 5 to 30 mm leads to an increase in the Nusselt number by 39.72-81.35% depending on the Reynolds number. The formation of sediment on the surface of the heat exchanger leads to a decrease in the Nusselt number by 2.8-6.6%.
