  • On the issue of the effectiveness of strengthening reinforced concrete beams with composite materials from carbon fibers in the form of lamellas

The main elements of the system of external reinforcement of bent reinforced concrete structures are fabrics and lamellas. Fabrics and lamellas are glued to the surface of building structures in a polymer matrix. The matrix provides adhesion of the reinforcing filler with the reinforced structure. The price of reinforcement with carbon lamellas is several times higher than for reinforcement with carbon fabric. The article shows a comparison of proposals on the market of building materials for the reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures with lamellas based on carbon fibers. On the example of a reinforced concrete beam of four types of cross-section, a comparative analysis of the selected reinforcement systems under different temperature conditions was carried out, a conditional utility coefficient was identified, showing the ratio of price to the percentage reinforcement of the structure. The results obtained can be used to select the most cost-effective composite reinforcement system.

  • Road life cycle management at the operational stage based on artificial neural network algorithms

The stage of operation of a highway is one of the most important stages of its life cycle. The decisions made at this stage have a direct impact on the durability of the road, the safety and transport costs of its users. Optimization of the decisions made is an urgent task that requires a comprehensive consideration of both the technical and economic components. Within the framework of this work, using the algorithms of artificial neural networks (ANN), a mathematical model of the ANN was developed to determine the integral level of pavement safety, based on a complex of structural and operational factors, including the modulus of elasticity of pavement layers, longitudinal evenness, rutting, and the presence of fatigue failures. On the basis of the integral level of pavement safety, its operational condition is predicted, a scale is assigned for the selection of control actions to ensure its required durability.

  • Testing of the steel cylindrical mesh shell model

The optimal ratio of geometric parameters is found, taking into account the rational distribution of forces on the surface and the minimal change in the shape of the cylindrical mesh shell. As part of the increase in overall dimensions to determine the bearing capacity of the structure, a research program was compiled, an experimental installation was designed and tests were carried out on a physical model. According to the results of the conducted studies, the necessary parameters of the stress-strain state of the shell were determined. The effectiveness of the methods of strengthening the system supports using puffs and horizontal trusses was tested. The regularities of the shell behavior under conditions of full and unilateral application of loads are established. The influence of reinforcement methods on the general condition of the mesh surface is investigated. The degree of unloading of the rod system in the case of horizontal trusses was determined and a significant increase in the load-bearing capacity of the structure was established due to the use of tightening in the support zone.

  • Some questions of the technology of concreting massive foundation slabs using self-compacting concrete mixtures

Numerous factors that determine the quality of monolithic reinforced concrete massive foundations predetermine the relevance of a thorough study of a set of issues related to the intensity of concreting, the technical capabilities of the contractor, temperature and humidity conditions, the characteristics of the technological properties of the concrete mixture and the kinetics of concrete hardening. To ensure the solidity of the structure, the expediency of determining the thickness of the layer to be laid is justified not only by the length of the working part of the vibrator, as prescribed by the standards, but also by the indicators of the intensity of concreting, determined by the design parameters, temperature and humidity conditions and the capabilities of the worker. The influence of the temperature and humidity conditions of the environment and the recipe features of the concrete mixture on the rational time of overlapping layers is shown. The results of modeling the level of tensile stresses on such recipe-technological factors as the class and kinetics of concrete hardening, temperature conditions and conditions of heat exchange with the environment are given on the example of a temperature-shrinkage block 20x20x2 m. the values of its parameters. • Analysis and systematization of factors influencing the rational choice of constructive solutions for the foundations of high-rise complexes

Designing foundations and foundations for buildings and structures of high-rise complexes is a complex engineering task. Modern architectural concepts and constructive solutions should be based on geotechnical justification at the stage of developing the architectural design of the project. Huge loads from above-ground structural elements of high-rise buildings and the high cost of measures for the installation of underground structures create their own characteristics in the design of foundations. In this paper, we study the problem of choosing the type of foundation for a high-rise building from the point of view of technical and economic rationality based on studying the experience of designing complex multifunctional complexes in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The authors believe that the choice of a constructive solution for the foundation of a high-rise complex is influenced by both geological factors and socio-economic ones. The result of this study is the grouping and systematization of the geotechnical factors of the building area and the economic factors of the urban environment that directly or indirectly affect the construction projects of high-rise complexes.
