  • Analysis of the methodology for reducing internal stresses in replaceable cutting inserts

    Increasing the accuracy and quality of the surface layer of the product with minimal time and economic costs is the number one task of any engineering production, for this high-precision cutting is used. Overestimation of cutting conditions leads to an increase in contact loads acting on the cutting insert of the tool, which in turn affects the performance of this cutting tool and leads to a decrease in the efficiency of its use. It has been established that under production conditions, the failure of the cutting tool due to the destruction of cutting plates with different sections is 80-85%. The solution is to reduce bending stresses by reducing the area of ​​coverage, thereby reducing the wave of deflection under load that the cutting wedge experiences. Also in the studies, the results of the dependence of deflections on the angle of coverage of the plate were obtained using analytical calculations and approximated in the form of a graph. The ideal angle for wrapping the plate is close to 2α = 100°, where deflections are practically absent (minimum). The article considers the possibility of confirming the correlation of stress propagation in a round insert during turning. The results of the calculation show that the bending moment at the place of application of the load also increases with an increase in the angle of coverage of the plate, as in the case described by the studies during milling. Thus, the correlation of stress propagation during processing with a round insert during milling and turning is confirmed.

  • The estimation of exploitation technological efficienПитухин А.В., Шиловский В.Н., Скобцов И.Г., Киселев С.А.

    The paper deals with the investigation of exploitation technological efficiency of metall-cutting machine tools. The main goal of this study is to determine more advanced way of choice of equipment and to organize metall-cutting machine tools rational maintenance. Classification of basic and optional evaluative measures is presented in the first part of the paper. The research methodology provides the estimation of exploitation technological efficiency by calculation of the complex evaluative measure. The results of comparative estimation of two metall-cutting machine tools (Okuma LB 4000 EX, CTX Gamma 2000) are presented in the last part of the paper. According to evaluation result, Okuma LB 4000 EX stands at a higher level of exploitation technological efficiency.

  • Engineering the implementation of technological schemes and vibro vibrowave treatment of the crankshafts of engines

    In the article the modern technological methods to improve the strength of crankshafts. Proposed experimental scheme of strengthening and stabilizing vibromashining of machine crankshafts. It has been established experimentally that the vibration impact processing is achieved by uniform hardening of the surface layer of all elements of the details, finish and rounding of sharp edges, smooth transitions, the exclusion of non-rigid shafts with leashes in the electoral obkatyvaniem of radius machining of large parts.

  • Comparative evaluation of magnetic systems electrodynamic separators

    For the separation of conductive and non-conductive non-magnetic materials are used electrodynamic separators with permanent magnets and electromagnets. One of the ways of intensification of the process of separation is to increase the magnetic field strength in the separation zone. When separation of fine fractions, the problem arises of reducing the pole pitch of the magnetic system, which reduces the influence of magnetic field on shared materials. In this regard, there is a need to conduct research on the development of highly efficient magnetic systems.

  • Technological methods of ensuring the fatigue strength of elastic elements

    As a rule, the information they have guides for fatigue testing geometrical designs, gives only the evaluation of the characteristics and design lay stock in several, and sometimes in tens times exceeds the tensile strength of the material. And saving of material, from the point of view of obsolescence, product should be developed on a certain resource. For details, which operate in the field of elastic deformations and calculated in operation for a given mode of operation should lay in the design of the guaranteed resource. To do this, for example, compensating coupling method is suggested, which is based on the calculation methods of CAD/CAM/CAE/CSE NX 7.5 and field tests considering the impact of technology of surface hardening. The character of strain in «elastic element» in NX 7.5. The calculations of the elastic element module «flexible body» NX 7.5, but due to the fact that the calculation is impossible to consider technological parameters of manufac-turing is conducted equivalent full-scale tests. Accordingly, designed and built a stand for equiva-lent tests. Finally, for comparison, is a computer simulation to calculate large displacements and complicated movements of the coupling. For this we used the application NX 7.5 «Simulation of kinematic mechanisms» with the attraction tools «Flexible body».
