Convergent education: the social aspect

The formation of convergent education is aimed at the realization of the NBICS – technologies. The article is devoted to the most important aspect of this convergence - social. The necessity of revising the approach to education is revealed. The authers note that there is a necessity to increase trends of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity in social studies of technology. The prospects for the promotion of convergent education in Southern Federal University are revealed. Various embodiments and steps to promote convergent education are described. The authers show some examples of methodological organization of the educational process in the framework of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches.
