  • Reliability Model of RAID-60 Disk Arrays

The general characteristics of the innovative RAID-60 data storage system, which combines the best aspects of RAID-6 and RAID-0E technologies, as well as the reliability model of this data storage sys-tem, are presented. The main purpose of this connection is to provide outstanding performance with maximum data redundancy. The arti-cle discusses in detail the structural analysis, advantages and various scenarios for the use of the specified RAID-60 data storage system and the proposed model of its reliability. An important aspect is also the comparison of the RAID-60 system with other widespread vari-ants of data storage systems, such as RAID-0, RAID-1 and RAID-5, as well as with the reliability models of these systems. Particular at-tention is paid to the formula that allows you to calculate the average operating time to failure of a disk array. Also, for completeness of the analysis, attention is paid to plotting the probability of a RAID-60 failure (P(t)) over time (t). This graph is an important tool for visu-alizing the dynamics of reliability of data storage systems.

  • Features of the construction of pile foundations in permafrost zones at oil and gas facilities

Permafrost occupies about 25 percent of the world's area and spreads across the north of America, Europe, Asia, as well as the islands of the Arctic Ocean and Antarctica. In Russia, a considerable part of the population lives and works in the regions of the Far North, where mining is rapidly developing in conditions of permafrost. This is where the erection of the foundations is an important issue.

  • Acetic acid and iodine unidirectional cooperative mass transfer in extraction system in the conditions of spontaneous interphase convection

This article considered individual and unidirectional cooperative mass transfer of two components with a various in the surface-active properties in extraction system carbon tetrachloride - 4% aqueous solution of potassium iodide in the flat interface in the conditions of spontaneous interphase convection. Studied the interaction flow of components in unidirectional cooperative mass transfer on the intensity of mass transfer each other in the conditions of spontaneous interphase convection. Unidirectional cooperative mass transfer acetic acid and iodine increase mass transfer iodine coefficient as compared to its individual mass transfer.

  • Circuit solutions of R-S-latch and D-trigger having nonvolatile electrically programmable memory

In this work new circuit solutions of R-S-latch and D-trigger having nonvolatile electrically programmable memory and nonvolatile shift register are presented. It shows that nonvolatile R-S-latch can be effectively used as a memory cell and simultaneously as write and read circuits for it, thus it makes possible to increase reliability of read operation from EEPROM at the expense of differential read for every bit.

  • Computer simulation of visual grouping mechanisms selective to spatial modulations of contrast

This paper outlines the implementation of computer model of second-order visual mechanisms that are specific to spatial contrast modulations, and represents the results of testing the model. Computer simulation is based on "Filter-Rectify-Filter" model with some important additions. The inhibitory parts of receptive field of simulated mechanism are non-selective to orientation and spatial frequency of texture elements. Texture modulated by orientation or spatial frequency does not reduce flank inhibition and does not activate the mechanism. Unmodulated texture  also does not cause activation of the filter because the flanking inhibition will be equal to or exceed the excitation. However, increasing the contrast in the center and reduction it on the flanks leads to the activation of the second order mechanism.

  • Mathematical and statistical models predicting efficiency of surgical treatment of certain diseases

Article focuses on the use of statistical models to predict tolerability surgery using intracavitary hyperthermic chemotherapy (IHCT) and the definition of indications and contraindications to perform operations and tolerability for patients with cancer based on the hemostatic patient. This technique allows a high enough accuracy to prediction portability planned surgery, duration of disease-free period, the period and quality of life in the immediate and late postoperative period.Improve treatment of patients with malignant tumors of the abdomen and pelvis, is one of the priorities of modern health care. Relevance of various parameters of immunity, clinical and biological parameters of homeostasis and prognosis of malignant disease in humans will significantly reduce the proportion of late diagnoses of relapses. Recently there has been increased research to find a method of complex cytoreductive surgery and the use of cytotoxic drugs, and physical therapies, one of which is a local intraoperative hyperthermic chemotherapy. With the help of statistical methods has been studied the degree of influence on the parameters IHCT immunity and an estimate of the nature of the immunological changes in different types of surgery. Methods of binary logistic regression analysis was calculated diskriminatnogo forecast portability operation - patient survival probability. Based on the method of multiple regression were obtained algorithms calculate the duration of life of patients after surgery, and the duration of DFS. Studies based on the factor analysis showed that the main factors affecting the prognosis of disease-free period and the period of life are the morphological structure of the tumor volume cytoreduction, the sum of your immune system and cancer markers. Peritoneal cancer index, sex and age of the patient does not have a significant effect on these parameters. Thus, the introduction into clinical practice of the proposed computer systems and statistical forecasting models allow physicians to objectively evaluate the performance of homeostasis, the portability of the planned surgery, more accurately predict the course of the cancer disease and the likelihood of recurrence of the disease and the duration and quality of life.
