    The authors, based on the study of historical materials, analysis of architectural solutions constructed buildings, as well as the design of local architects, associate a symbol, Nalchik - a Shoe with his name. On the basis of various examples show the use of the symbol of the city - horseshoe as an architectural element (image) buildings and structures (entry sign, in Nalchik, the architect W. H.
