  • Noise levels in the mainline territories of a linear city and ways to deal with it

Noise pollution of the air is considered to be an excess of the natural level of the background noise or a sharp fluctuation and change in such sound characteristics as the frequency of the sound wave and the strength of the sound stream. The article considers noise levels in the mainline territories in a linear city.

Keywords: linear city, traffic noise, highways, air environment, landscaping, equivalent noise level, row of planting, arboretum composition

  • The main factors affecting the concentration of fine dust in the roadside areas of a linear city

The article deals with the distribution of fine dust in the atmospheric air of roadside areas of cities with a linear configuration, factors affecting its concentration in the roadside area.

Keywords: fine dust, roadside areas, road transport, wind speed, meteorological parameters

  • Influence of meteorological conditions and traffic flow on the spread of carbon monoxide

The article discusses the speed and direction of the wind as one of the key factors affecting the spread of carbon monoxide in the linear city of Volgograd. It also investigates the intensity and rolling stock of the traffic flow, which have a negative impact on the pollution of the surface atmospheric layers of the air. Research has been carried out on Raboche-Krestyanskaya street in order to measure the concentration of carbon monoxide on the curb of the roadway.

Keywords: road transport, wind direction, wind speed, meteorological conditions, sources of pollution, highways, residential buildings, meteorological stations

  • Regularities of carbon monoxide in the air of the Krasnoarmeisky district of the linear city of Volgograd

The article deals with the laws of distribution of pollutants in a linear city. The highest values of carbon monoxide concentration were determined in the near-main territories of the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. Also in this paper, the question of the dependence of the level of gas pollution in the mainline areas on various factors, which include human activity and natural, natural factors, is raised. The influence of temperature inversions on the speed of pollution propagation and their limiting value in various points of the city is considered. For the experimental part, 18 points of technical measurements of CO concentration were taken, during which compliance with the MPC standards of the samples taken was revealed.

Keywords: linear city, district, law of distribution of carbon monoxide, transport of impurities, air pollution

  • Еntropy analysis of complex systems as a tool of engineering activity

Developed approaches to measure the structural organization of systems. The concept of entropy expands and acts as an asymmetric criterion for the systems complexity. The necessity of a nonequilibrium approach to describing the interaction of physical structures and the possibility of interpreting entropy as a measure of the structural diversity of systems is shown. The validity of this approach is confirmed by a number of examples of the evolution of different systems, the structural distributions of the elements of which play an important role in modeling physical and physicochemical processes. Theoretical aspects are based on the fundamental work of D. Gibbs and L. Boltzman. The information content of the entropy concept correlates with the well-known “complementary” factor - coentropy. In this work, the evolution curves of complex systems are constructed as dependencies on statistical diversity. The symmetry of the functions of the density of entropy and coentropy with respect to the bifurcation points is discussed. It is shown that two-phase systems “liquid – vapor”, “crystal – melt” are characterized by inversion of evolutionary trajectories.
