Energy method in the form of Timoshenko-Ritz method for determining the critical axial compression forces circular cylindrical shell.

Energy method in the form of Tymoshenko Ritz-solved the problem of stability of a circular cylindrical shell under uniform axial compression. Considered axisymmetric shape shell buckling during buckling and axisymmetric initial state, as well as axisymmetric subcritical state during compression. The resulting solution is exactly consistent with the decision of the Lorentz-Tymoshenko known as a classic.
