  • Construction of transport infrastructure facilities in northern conditions: soils and foundations

    The article deals with measures to preserve the ground bases of structures in a frozen state. It is shown that the methods of soil screening are cheap and do not use special equipment. These methods use different types of insulation: natural and artificial. The existing technologies of the device of thermal insulation screens on highways and engineering structures are described. It is proposed to replace polyurethane foam with extruded polystyrene foam. These materials are described and their physical properties are compared. The technology of the device of the heat-insulating coating is given.

  • The practice of using the AutoCAD graphics package in the process of teaching computer graphics

    The possibilities of using the graphic editor AutoCAD in the formation of the readiness of graduates of a technical university for graphic activity are considered.   • An integrated approach to the replacement of heating appliances in residential buildings

    The article describes an integrated approach to the replacement of heating appliances in residential buildings in the event of major repairs or mechanical wear of these devices. The conditions of use of different types of modern heating appliances in existing heating systems have been analyzed. Based on experimental data, an analysis has been conducted for the operation of an aluminium radiator in a single-pipe up-feed heating system with respect to various radiator connection options to the riser. Recommendations have been provided on usage of modern types of heating appliances in residential buildings.

  • The method of using the basic equation of passive location in the calculation of coverage areas on protected objects of information

    Passive detection sensors are widely spread in engineering-technical systems of information protection. During designing such systems, it may be difficult to calculate the coverage areas of infrared detectors. This is due to the fact that the problem of establishing a relationship between the theory of statistical detection and the choice of parameters for the equation of the maximum detection range is not considered in detail. In this regard, the task was to develop a method for applying the basic equation of passive location to calculate the coverage areas of infrared detectors. The calculation method is developed on the basis of the equation of the maximum range of the passive receiver. The study considered three models of the signal-to-noise ratio: a signal against a white noise background with fully known signal-to-noise parameters; detection of a signal whose phase and amplitude are unknown; and detection of a random signal against a noise background. As a result of the research, the conditions under which the passive signal detection formulas on the background of noise give correct results were found. Thus, the connection of the statistical theory of detection with the equation of the range of the passive emitter was established.

  • Principles of Programming controllers FBD language

    To improve the quality of developed software for the controller is proposed to take into account the principles of programming in FBD and CFC. Gives practical recommendations for the use application of. Especially, this approach is acquitted for complex systems of automatic control and regulation of high risk. The proposed method reduces the requirements for qualification of personnel, increases productivity in extreme situations, reduces the possibility of errors in the adjustment programs.

  • Using of pseudo-random sequences in quantum communication systems

    Coding of information using of pseudo-random sequences  in quantum communication systems providing an operation with a low probability of single-photons detection is proposed. The results of statistical modeling of information extraction from the bit stream, received at different specified probability of detection based on the correlation properties of the M-sequences are demonstrated. It's demonstrated that the peak value of cross-correlation function for the M-sequence of 255 bits is on the average more than 2 times higher  than the level of side lobes at the probability of single-photons detection 20%.

  • Sensitivity CMOS voltage reference to variations of the parameters of elements

    The article describes the preparation of the sensitivity of the output voltage for a typical architecture of voltage reference to variations of the parameters of elements. Also considers the main advantages of this approach in the analysis and design of circuits. The article presents the corresponding graphs sensitivities. Based on the findings conclusions about the impact of deviations of circuit elements on the output parameters of the reference voltage was done.
