  • Methodology to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of remediation of soils contaminated by oil and oil products, the biological indicators

To evaluate the effectiveness of remediation of soils contaminated with petroleum or petroleum products, it is advisable to use the method for determining the integral indicator of biological condition (IPBS) of the soil, calculated on the most informative biological indicators. If, before reclaiming the difference between the IPBS contaminated and uncontaminated (background) soil is less than 10%, it is advisable not to carry out remediation. If the value of IPBS re-cultivated soil and uncontaminated soil IPBS value differ by less than 10%, then reclamation carried out efficiently.

  • Stability of the ordinary chernozem to the combined contamination with lead and the electromagnetic field

The article discusses the stability of the chernozem biological properties in the combined pollution of lead and an alternating magnetic field. Soil parameters such as the activity of catalase and dehydrogenase, soil biomass, soil phytotoxicity are considered. The main contribution to the change in the biological properties of the soil in the combined pollution by lead and an alternating magnetic field makes lead pollution. The contamination alternating magnetic field with a high level of induction (3000 mkTl) over only reduces the amount of lead pollution of soil biomass, but increases the activity of soil enzymes. At a lower level of induction (300-1500 mkTl) with combined pollution increases the activity of enzymes and biomass is virtually identical to the activity only if contaminated with lead. Phytotoxicity indicators of soil pollution with lead and an alternating magnetic field induction of 300 mkTl did not differ from those of soil contamination only lead, but with an increase in the level of induction to the 1500-3000 mkTl phytotoxicity indicators declined in comparison with the lead pollution at 18-27%.

  • Regularities of zinc transformation process in ordinary chernozem in the presence of different anions

The influence of attendant anions on the transformation of zinc compounds in the soil was studied in a model experiment. The differences in the number of mobile forms of recoverable zinc in the soil, depending on its dose and form of addition were defined. Influence of associated anions on the content of metals mobile forms in the soil decreases in the order: PO42¯≈ Cl¯ > NO3¯ > SO42¯> СН3СОО¯> О¯. Transformation of zinc compounds during 2-year period after the receipt of the metal in the soil has been studied.  There is no soil stabilization in ratio form for two years studying, indicating the low speeds transformation of metal compounds with soil components. Transformation of Zn in soil depends on the attendant anion, metal concentration in soil and time interaction with the solid phase of soils. The transformation process of metal adsorbed the soil goes toward to decrease of Zn mobility.

  • Biomonitoring of environmental genotoxicity of Rostov-on-Don with Pylaisia polyantha

To assess the genotoxicity of environmental urban ecosystems appropriate to use indicators geno-and cytotoxic extract pilezii Multiflora. Geno-and cytotoxicity of the extract can be assessed by the level of chromosomal aberrations, as well as indicators of the mitotic index in the root meristem of pea, germinated on an extract pilezii Multiflora. When using indicators geno-and cytotoxicity in urban ecosystems should talk about the genotoxicity of the environment in the case of a statistically significant difference from the control of these parameters.

  • Minimization of pollution of a superficial drain and ground waters by means of ecological rehabilitation of the urbanized territories

In article the direct connection of a condition of soils and quality of a formed superficial diffusion drain is considered. For minimization of pollution of a superficial drain and ground waters when unloading them in a reservoir it is offered to use coal mining waste as a sorbent of organic and inorganic pollution. Thus, the area of utilization of dump breeds of coal mines for nature protection and soil-improving actions extends.

Keywords: Dump breeds of coal mines; sorbent; minimization of pollution of a superficial drain; the urbanized territories; anthropogenous impact on the soil
