  • Justification of the width of the excavator face

This article considers the issue of justification of excavator face width as a possible basis for information technological design of earthworks. An assessment of the effect of the excavator face width on the excavator stroke length and, as a consequence, on the amount of excavated soil at one technological parking lot has been made. The most effective width of the excavator face was determined using a dimensionless coefficient characterizing the surface area of excavation, and the impact of the physical and mechanical properties of soils on the geometry of the excavator face was assessed.

  • model of multivariate technological design of earthworks

The technological design of the excavation device, as well as many other construction processes, involves the adoption of a set of decisions necessary for the effective implementation of a project. In view of the many alternative ways of developing a construction process, the question arises of the need for variant design. Variant design is a technical and economic comparison of possible ways to implement this or that building process. The formation of the most efficient fleet of earthmoving and transport vehicles for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is a rather urgent task. Savings in estimated cost in connection with the adoption of the most effective organizational and technical decisions (hereinafter referred to as OTR) in this case for the useful life of machines varies from tens to hundreds of millions of rubles. In addition to cost savings, the solution to this problem allows you to determine the necessary volume of equipment for the engineering complex.
