The article explains the role of information technology in the implementation of modernization reforms in the Russian health care system. The purpose of this article is to examine the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of cadre potential of medical workers as a result of introduction of modern information technologies. It is shown that the level of Informatization in Russia lags far behind foreign countries. Noted that currently the automation of health care occurs mainly in financial sector activities. It is proposed to use information systems that enable the automation of registration processes patients. Shows the functionality of such a system. The main advantages of Informatization from the viewpoint of increase of efficiency of use of personnel potential, as well as from the standpoint of improving the quality of patient care.
