  • Research of lead accumulation in the soils of built-up areas adjacent to Rostov-on-Don

The soils of the territories adjacent to the city of Rostov-on-Don are studied, characterized by a highly developed transport system. Agricultural land adjacent to the highway is often closed by forest strips. But, large areas of land are not protected by forest strips. A lot of lead accumulates in the soil of open agrocenoses. It is necessary to create forest belts around new highways

  • Pollution of territories bordering on mine waste and possible solutions to the problem

The soils of the territories adjoining the waste pits of coal mines are investigated. In the soil, quantities of copper, zinc, nickel and lead were found, more than MPC. Excess of MPC for cadmium is not noted. The content of copper and nickel is 2-3 times higher than their permissible content in the soil, and this situation is observed throughout the study - up to 500 m. A slight excess of the maximum permissible concentration of zinc and lead was noted at a distance of 200-300 m from the waste. It is necessary to restore the territories after the removal of anthropogenic source - waste heaps.

  • Re-adsorption of heavy metals in the determination of their mobile forms in ordinary chernozem

"We studied heavy loamy calcareous ordinary chernozem developed from the loess-like loam at the Donskoe training farm in Rostov oblast. Samples from the plow (0–20 cm) layer were used in the experiment. The soil samples were contaminated with 300 mg/kg of Cu, Zn and Pb introduced in combination. The metals were introduced in the form of acetates. In was showed that under static conditions, ammonium acetate does not extract the entire stock of mobile elements. In dynamic conditions Cu, Zn и Pb were more extracted. The degree of extractable metals by ammonium acetate buffer from the soil in background and polluted soil can be presented in a series: Zn> Pb> Cu."

  • Study of heavy metal adsorption of ordinary chernozem with different proportions of solid and liquid phases

The absorption of copper, zinc and lead ordinary chernozem loam with a changing ratio of the solid and liquid soil phases. It is shown that an increase in the ratio of 2 times solid and liquid phase adsorption capacity and retention strength of copper, zinc and lead on the surface of soil particles increases due elektroselektivnosti.
