  • Conflict character models of driving in Russian society: the influence of gender stereotypes

Studies of social stereotypes and stereotyping mechanisms as part of the process of social cognition occupy priority places in the research of images of interacting partners. The problems of accentuation stereotypes in real behavior and activity of individuals in the field of road traffic (drivers, pedestrians, representatives of DPS) today only acquire some shape, but has not yet been properly addressed to. Traditional studies of gender stereotypes, unfortunately, are not able to uncover the underlying mechanisms of perception, which "create and run" the process of stereotyping due to specific reasons, objectively contained in the activity of subjects of interactions on the road. Attempts to detect and describe these mechanisms require research of real interactions of the subjects and objects of stereotypes, namely those and their specific characteristics that contribute to the emergence and actualization of gender stereotypes. The importance of this article is determined not only by the prospects of the development of theories of stereotypes as forms of everyday consciousness, but also the possibility of using some of the ideas for positive change of life of road users, accompanied by a high level of conflict, risk, interaction and challenges related to different factors of social reality. • Gender analysis of contemporary student youth behaviour: applied research

Studies of gender and family dynamics in society are of great interest for foreign and domestic scientific communities. The results of studying the trends in these areas from the point of view of the students about the "ideal behaviour" of modern men and women are very important, as the social group of young people has always been and is a specific indicator of the state of the society. Today, the availability of various models of the behavior of the sexes is significantly determined by the media. However, new, variable "patterns of behavior" in society does not mean denial of traditional patterns of conduct of men and women. Despite some "westernization" of the young Russians, the national gender factor "works" thereby consolidating society and preserving the national identity of individuals.

  • Dialogue models of the subjects of international marriage market (Russia-USA)

In our days the following processes are considerably noticeable: rising communicative - dialogue processes among different gender cultures, intensification of the processes of "publicity" - placing private life for public observation by means of Internet and so on, distinct manifestation in cross-national migration asymmetry and aspirations of Western actors to domination and manipulation, aspiration for “zapadnotsentrizm” among some young Russians, noticeable dialogue determination by characteristics of the national gender-based mezo - and micro-social orders and others, equally important. In this context, the key value factors of micro-social order we consider: 1) activity/initiative; 2) family-centered; 3) economic status; 4) health; 5) morality; (6) aesthetics/appeal; 7) intellectual level. These factors can also be called the main aspects of the personality of the subjects of the marriage market (men and women), which are quite significant in the dialogue and consciously used by actors when looking for a partner for future family life. Modern Western culture (American and European), in general, presupposes spread of gender equality, and in Russia there is such attitude among women, including many marriage migrants. But, as the results of our research show, the Western men (as subjects of the marriage market and certain socio-psychological group, selected mainly on the parameters characteristic of the Patriarchal gender order) do not support the current U.S. and Europe gender order in love/romantic relationships.

Nowadays many researches devoted to the problem of health of the individual, have become of a major significance. Scientific interest is high as there are many challenges and risks contemporary individuals face. Today we come across many publications where the health phenomenon is being analyzed from different perspectives. Questions of health are the subject of interdisciplinary research as a plenty of different sciences are involved into all levels, say, theoretical and applied. This article is some systematization of the results of two applied researches of 2014 in the frames of Southern federal university, Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation. The main aim of the researches was to determine and describe the basic content of physical and emotional so called components of health of contemporary student youth and factors determining them. We questioned 232 students. Resuming some results we can say that because of contemporary needs of the society students have to put getting good education and career escalation as the main priorities in their life. They also worry about problems of ecology and health. In particular smoking and alcohol drinking. Our results again coincide with the results of other researchers that there is no gender difference here: both young women and men tend to smoke and drink alcohol – girls practice “men’s behavior pattern”. Students are stressed and that is the main reason of their drinking. They underline determination of some social factors, as political situation, changes in the Russian society, etc. Sociologists are expected to research mentioned problematic field more thoroughly.
