  • Safety innovations: The role of automated systems in fire prevention

    The role of automation in fire protection systems of technological processes is investigated. We reviewed the evolution of these systems, evaluated modern advances in automation, and analyzed their impact on improving the effectiveness of fire protection. In addition, we drew attention to the advantages of such systems, their implementation in various industries and the prospects for further development. With the constant growth of safety requirements and the desire to reduce risks, automation of fire protection systems is becoming not just an innovation, but a necessity for the sustainable development of industrial facilities.

  • Modern approaches to ensuring fire safety in modular structures in the regions of the Far North

    Modern approaches to fire safety in modular buildings are analyzed. The features of these structures from the point of view of fire safety, innovative materials and technologies, regulatory requirements and successful examples of fire prevention measures have been studied. The importance of introducing advanced solutions to improve safety in the rapidly developing field of modular construction was emphasized.

  • Investigation of the effect of adding pulverised stone processing waste on the strength properties of concrete

    Utilisation a waste of stone processing in production of other kinds products is an actual task for stone-cutting enterprises. In this study, the possibilities of using basalt dust generated during sawing, grinding and polishing of basalt and related minerals in the manufacture with concrete are studied. Three groups were prepared with different content of basalt dust - 0 %, 5 % and 20 %. After the final hardening performance of the concrete, the compressive strength testing was conducted on the specimens. The results showed that the addition (5%) added basalt dust practically did not reduce the strength ratio practically, the increase of basalt dust content up to 20% caused an average 16% reduction in the strength of the specimens. The fracture character that occurred in the specimens containing basalt dust corresponded to the fracture character that happened to similarly shaped concrete products.

  • "Methods of determining the grain boundary diffusion coefficient impurities in metals on the basis of numerical solutions for the Fisher model"

    In the introduction the relevance of the study of diffusion along grain boundaries in metals. The aim of the work was to develop a method for determining the diffusion coefficient of impurity atoms at the grain boundaries in metals based on the numerical solution of the model by Fisher. The methodology laid plotting the ratio of the depth of bulk diffusion and grain boundary diffusion on the ratio of the diffusion coefficients of impurity atoms in them. In the construction of numerical solutions available to simplify the modeling of the physical nature of the process of diffusion along grain boundaries. The technique may be used in experiments with widely varying parameters diffusion annealing. Examples of the application procedure. The estimation of the coefficient of grain-boundary diffusion of copper in polycrystalline nickel. Also calculated the ratio of maximal depth of diffusion of silver in the grain and the grain boundary in the SMC copper.
