  • Substantiation of the method of diagnostics and automated control of the technical condition of the electromechanical drive of a mining machine

    The article considers one of the ways to improve the reliability of mining equipment, by eliminating sudden failures and reducing the severity of their consequences, based on the use of digital technologies and automated control systems for its technical condition and online diagnostics. It is proposed to use the methods of diagnostics and automated control of the technical condition of power electrical machines, which consist in monitoring the current with subsequent spectral analysis of the recorded signal. The method allows to determine the current technical condition of the engine elements with sufficient accuracy. A high-performance RISC microcontroller of the AVR ATmega16 family was adopted as the constituent elements of the diagnostic complex, which contains a fast Harvard processor, program memory, data memory, input / output ports and various interface circuits.

  • The main results of diagnostics and automated control of the technical condition of the mining machine

    The article presents the results of checking the adequacy of the method of online diagnostics and automated control of the technical condition of the electromechanical drive of the KP21 mining machine with an asynchronous squirrel-cage motor, proposed earlier by the authors. The method of experimental production studies provides for the connection of the measuring complex to the stator winding of one of the phases of the electric motor. The measurements were carried out under various operating conditions of the combine, corresponding to various technical conditions of the facility. A comparative analysis of the technical condition of the diagnosed nodes and the values ​​of the normalized amplitudes of the corresponding frequencies led to the conclusion: the defect must be fixed if the signal amplitude exceeds the value of 10% of the maximum, and the defect is significant and needs to be eliminated if the amplitude value exceeds 30%. To use the obtained research results in practice, an integral nomogram of the correspondence between the operating time of the combine harvester and the amplitude - frequency characteristic of the stator current of the drive motor of the cutting body is proposed. The results obtained are taken as a basis for correcting the schedule of preventive maintenance and maintenance of the cutting body of mining machines KP21 when operating in the appropriate mining and geological conditions.

  • GIS-design and analysis of long-term regional variability of forest fires

    The article discusses the possibilities of GIS technologies for assessing the spatial and temporal distribution of forest fires in the European part of Russia. An analysis of the variability of data on both forest fires and climate data for the same long-term period and on the same regional scale was performed. General trends and main fire hazards have been identified that will help in the future, in the presence of reliable climate scenarios, to make decisions on prevention strategies and more effective fire management.

  • Adjustment of the air dryer control loops to maintain the carbon dioxide concentration within the permitted norm

    This article gives an overview of the operation of dehumidification plants located in indoor ice arenas. Since at the moment the operation of such facilities does not include control of such parameters as CO2 content, the possibility of implementing this task using the existing equipment is considered. A method of setting the automatics of maintaining the CO2 level in the set parameters is given. The principle of dehumidifier operation and problems of CO2 level control are considered. The method of tuning the control loops is also described. The use of CO2 controlled dehumidifier equipment will create comfortable conditions for the occupants of the ice arena, which in turn will lead to a reduction in energy and heat consumption.

  • Mathematical, algorithmic and software support for the problem of calculating control actions based on fuzzy logic when simulating the movement of a load in a portal crane simulator

    The article is devoted to the development of models and algorithms for calculating control (advisory) actions when training operators of technological processes (on the example of reloading processes and, in particular, portal cranes) on computer training complexes (CTC). A complex of models and algorithms is proposed, based on which control actions are calculated regarding discrete crane controls and the possibility of moving the load to a target position with minimization of oscillations at the end point is provided. These models and algorithms use variable parameters of the technological process, described by linguistic variables, and customizable characteristics of crane models and engines, which allows calculating control actions depending on the type of crane, the specifics of the technological process, the training methodology used for operators and other significant factors. Application of the advisory system based on the developed models and algorithms promotes to improve the training process for operators of reloading cranes at CTC and, as a result, to reduce the probability of emergency situations, reduce time and energy costs.

  • The state of the automation level of energy facilities and solutions aimed at its improvement

    This paper analyzes the state of the automation level of energy facilities. The most rational method of assessing the level of automation is given: consideration of each energy facility (generating enterprises, transport companies, consumers) separately for the most effective assessment. The analysis of the level of automation of generating companies on the example of thermal power plants is given. A solution aimed at increasing the level of automation is proposed. The analysis of the level of automation of transport companies and consumers on the example of thermal energy is also given. The ways of increasing the level of their automation aimed at improving the efficiency of transmission and use of energy are proposed. The article presents a number of advantages of the introduction of automated systems at energy facilities on the example of an automated dispatch control system at power plants and substations. A number of the most promising solutions for increasing the level of automation of energy facilities are also presented.

  • Implementation of a symmetric split FIR filter on an FPGA

    It was necessary to develop a filter design option for implementing it on an FPGA in conditions of limited FPGA resources and processing time. Options for constructing filters and sequential optimization of the structure for implementation on an FPGA were considered. Two models were built using the Matlab environment, where the results of signal processing with filters were compared for the same parameters. Simulations have shown that the filters are unique.

  • Automation of pressure control between orthosis and foot

    The Interventional Pressure (IP) between the orthosis and the foot in this study was measured using an engineered sensor device. When using orthotic devices to correct deviation of the foot or limb, it is often used to assess the importance and position of corrective forces. The components of the sensor device are: a 43.5 x 43.5 mm force sensor mat, an LCD display, connecting wires, and an Arduino. The system developed in this study is described as lightweight, easy to move, and inexpensive compared to other devices. This study made and programmed a sensor to measure pressure between the orthosis and the foot in three areas, and compared it to the F-Socket sensor. The experimental test was performed on a patient who suffered from instability of the right leg at the ankle joint. In the posterior, lateral and medial regions, the interventional pressure between the tibia and the orthosis was calculated in two ways. The 1st method uses the sensor manufactured in this study (SCR), while the 2nd method uses the F-Socket sensor. The test results showed that the pressure readings obtained from the fabricated device were close to the results obtained using the F-Socket device.

  • Object recognition system for sorting municipal solid waste

    Recently, the main principles in the field of municipal solid waste management are recycling and reuse of secondary resources. Information technologies are widely used in modern waste management technologies. Problematic is the issue of recognition of the sorting object on the waste conveyor. There are various robotic systems for automated separation of sorting objects. The article provides a description of the system in the process of "recognition - capture - movement" of a sorting object on a common conveyor. A group of sensors is used to identify objects on the conveyor, while simultaneously fixing the coordinates of each identified object on the surface of the conveyor belt. Information about the coordinates and properties of each identified object is transmitted over the communication line to the control panel by manipulators, which capture individual identified objects and mix them into special containers.

The paper presents the results of a study of the design of the terminal locking device, and draws conclusions about the effectiveness of using the ANSYS software in the design of mechanical engineering products.

  • Blockchain in the Transport security System

    The article presents a variant of the analytical dependence of the workability factor on the time of execution of a specific operation by an employee of the transport security unit performing the function of screening passengers and baggage crossing the borders of the transport security zone using technical means of ensuring transport security. A mathematical model of the influence of the human factor on reducing the number of technological operations, as well as the quality of inspection activities during long-term monotonous and homogeneous operations is constructed. A software implementation of passenger questionnaires through the Blockchain system is presented to optimize the work of employees from the transport security units performing the functions of passenger and baggage screening in order to improve the security of transport infrastructure facilities and vehicles from acts of unlawful interference.

  • Modernization of physical laboratories on the example of the development of a digital complex for the study of metal corrosion processes

    An integrated information-measuring system is presented, which includes: a personal computer, special software, a set of sensors, an analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter, which makes it possible to investigate corrosion processes. Some possibilities of using modern information technologies in the workshop on physics and electrochemistry are shown. An experiment was carried out to study metal corrosion and its suppression using a traditional installation and a modified one using modern information technologies.

  • About the experience of developing a professional development program in the field of powder metallurgy

    The article analyzes the experience of creating and testing a professional development program in the field of manufacturing products from micro-and nanopowders. The program is aimed at solving the problem of the qualification deficit experienced by powder metallurgy enterprises, which has become more acute in recent years The educational program was developed by the Volga State Technological University with the support of the RUSNANO Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs and is designed to train engineering personnel in three areas: process engineers who develop technological processes for the production of powder products, design engineers - developers of technological equipment and production personnel who organize and control the production of metal powder products. A special feature of the program is its modular structure, which allows students to choose an individual learning path. The program includes a general professional cycle and three professional modules, the development of which allows you to form the professional competencies required by specialists. One of the modules is implemented remotely using e-learning technology. The advantage of the program is also a focus on practice: it provides a large volume of laboratory and practical classes, as well as practice at specialized enterprises. To assess the effectiveness of the advanced training program and if necessary to adjust it, the program was tested on a pilot group of students. Testing of the program confirmed its effectiveness and the possibility of successful use for professional development of specialists involved in the development and implementation of processes for obtaining products from metal powders.

  • Analysis of the possibilities of modal management in enterprise quality management systems

    The work is devoted to the study of the possibilities of ensuring the unconditional achievement of the goals of industrial enterprises with a combination of modal management and linear regulation with cost optimization in the operational and tactical management of quality management systems. The commonality of dependencies in modal control and linear regulation is shown. An approach to the combination of modal control and linear regulation is proposed, including the determination of the possibilities for changing the elements of the system matrix, as well as the search for optimal or rational solutions based on cost accounting. The application of this approach is considered on the example of the activity of an industrial enterprise. It is established that modal control has no advantages over linear control, since it is used to increase the stability of systems. The performance of quality management systems can be ensured when it is transferred to an unstable mode of operation, however, the use of this mode cannot exceed two to three years.

  • Micro-energy system based on an active energy complex

    The article presents the issues of the introduction of active energy complexes into the Russian energy system as an element of distributed generation for commercial and industrial consumers. In 2020, a pilot project was launched in Russia to create micro–energy systems for commercial and industrial consumers - active energy complexes. This form makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the Unified Energy System of Russia due to the possibility of optimizing the external network infrastructure and will allow businesses to reduce the cost of energy supply. The prerequisites for the development and implementation of the concept of active energy complexes in Russia were the increase in the cost of energy supply to enterprises, as well as the development of distributed generation and digital technologies.

  • Informational database model for accounting of the teachers workload of an educational organization

    This paper presents an information model of a relational database developed by the authors, designed to take into account the teachers workload of an educational organization. The identification of the subject area entities, their decomposition and the relationships identification between them are carried out. The constructed database model was brought to the Boyes - Codd normal form. Based on the designed database schema, its physical implementation and filling with test data was carried out. The results of test queries showed the developed model adequacy and the its practical applicationp ossibility. It is currently in trial operation at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Modeling, Volgograd State University. With minimal changes, the developed database schema can be applied to account for the teachers workload in various educational organizations.

  • Design and analysis of plastic and metal-plastic ankle orthosis

    This study presents two different designs of the ankle-foot orthosis (AFO): the adjustable hinged and the modified static, polypropylene and steel models. The ankle-foot orthosis test is performed in a patient with an ankle fracture as a result of a sports injury. Analysis of AFO models for calculating von Mises stress and fatigue safety margin is demonstrated. Interference, force, and pressure between the AFO contact area and the foot were measured for all subjects using the F-Socket probe, which was used to measure force applied to the ankle joint, for numerical analysis using ANSYS V.R15. Where we can see that the ankle joint has the greatest concentration of load. The stresses and margin of safety in the AFO adjustable joint are 418.9 MPa and 2.4, respectively. Whereas in the modified static AFO the stress and safety margin reached 192.8 MPa and 0.447, respectively.

  • Study of vibration-damping properties of zinc electroplating deposited on a substrate of Cr18 gray cast iron

    The presence of vibration loads in any node or unit almost always leads to negative consequences in one way or another. Vibrations affect both biological objects and materials. High level of vibrations, under certain conditions can even lead to the destruction of the surfaces of parts and node as a whole. The purpose of these studies was to study the vibration-absorbing ability of zinc electroplating, used to restore the seating holes of the housing parts of machines. The main task was to determine the presence and the level of vibration-absorbing ability of zinc in relation to grey cast iron SCh18. The research was carried out on a laboratory prototype of a gearbox (gear reducer) with the use of vibration sensors and an oscilloscope. As a result, the vibration damping ability of galvanic zinc was proved and the comparative level of vibration damping in comparison with Cr18 cast iron was determined. For this study, zinc was electroplated from sulfuric acid electrolyte on the inner surface of the cast iron shells. First, readings were taken without zinc plating, then a 0.1 mm zinc layer was applied and readings were taken. After obtaining the data, the zinc layer was removed mechanically, the next 0.2 mm coating layer was applied and the readings were taken. The process was repeated with a coating interval of 0.1 mm until the zinc electroplating thickness of 0.6 mm was reached.

  • Field research of the process of laying asphalt concrete mix with components automation of the technology of non-destructive testing of compaction

    The results of an experimental study of the process of laying asphalt mix with automation components of the technology of non-destructive continuous compaction control in the field of road construction are presented. The research was carried out in order to obtain real data for the task of creating a quality control system for compacting road materials in real time. During the study, the operating parameters of the paver were measured (velocity of movement, the frequency of impacts of the tamper, the frequency of vibration of the plate), the temperature of the compacted asphalt mixture, the thickness of the pavement layer, the vertical acceleration of the vibrating plate. The study used asphalt concrete mix type A grade I according to GOST 9128-2013. The operating parameters varied: the frequency of impacts of the tamper, the frequency of vibration of the plate. The acceleration of the vibrating plate was determined using a digital accelerometer with wireless signal transmission via Bluetooth to a smartphone with the Android operating system. The paper obtained the values of dimensionless complexes, the index of compaction of asphalt concrete mixture - the peak factor characterizing the change in the quality of compaction of asphalt concrete mixture.

  • Development of an automated system for detecting defects on fabric using computer vision

    The article discusses the issue of creating an automated system for detecting defects on tissue based on the use of computer vision. The resulting system makes it possible to control, register and calculate defects in textile materials without human participation in the technological process, which improves the quality of analysis, eliminates the number of errors in fabric sorting and reduces the cost of the technological operation.

  • Analytical review of research on the development and application of calibration models for a flow analyzer of the quality of petroleum products

    In the production of petroleum products, the study of IR absorption spectra is most often used to analyze the properties of a mixture. The priority of this method is due to the fact that the characteristics of the IR spectrum are directly related to the nature (structure and chemical composition) of the absorbing substance, and also depend on the aggregate state of the substance, temperature, pressure, etc. The unambiguity of the relationship between the molecular structure of a substance and its IR spectrum allows us to determine the composition of the mixture. For this purpose, calibration models should be built that connect the IR spectrum with the value of the quality indicators of petroleum products. The paper considers the methods of creating calibration models proposed by various authors, presented in well-known literary sources. To create calibration models in this paper, it is proposed to use the method of principal components and neural network modeling. Also, in order to increase the reliability of the automated control system for compounding motor fuels, it is proposed to use virtual analyzers (VA) of quality indicators of communication models, the quality indicator calculated from the calibration models of the flow analyzer with the corresponding technological variables of the compounding process. The output of the calibration models is also used for adjusting the VA.

  • Technology for controlling the process of formation of volumetric irradiation of plants using an LED installation

    The article is devoted to the design and specifics of the operation of an LED variable irradiation installation for growing plants. The peculiarity of the proposed installation is the periodically changing intensity of irradiation, achieved by alternately switching on and off LED radiation sources. This approach allows you to reduce the power of the power source, which leads to a reduction in the cost of the installation design, improve the quality of the products obtained, thanks to uniform irradiation of plants and reduce the energy intensity of the growing process.
