  • Constructive solutions balconies in residential buildings 19 - 20 centuries

    At the beginning of the 19th century balconies usually arranged in a mansion on the second floor. Most often, they were made of wooden structures with their own vertical supports.     This article deals with the unification of the elements of wood as on the principle of similarity with the material counterpart.   • Plane strain elements cylindrical structures under the action of physical fields

    Considered concrete cylindrical body in axisymmetric formulation (plane strain condition), exposure to radiation and temperature effects. The influence of physical fields on the mechanical characteristics of the material of the body individually or in the aggregate. It is shown that the stress-strain state of the cylinder, under the joint account of the different physical fields, is very different from the stress-strain state, obtained by summing the individual results of the calculation of each factor separately, that is, the superposition principle is not respected.

  • On the coefficient of prismatic strength of high-strength concrete

    This article provides an account tsentrenno and eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete columns of high-strength concrete on the deformed pattern in SP 63.13330.2012. Compares the results of the calculation of the bearing capacity of the columns with the set experimental data.   • Design of hot water-supply using renewable energy sources

    "Application of solar energy in supplying various infrastructure units is urgent these days. Traditionally these were the centralized urban heating systems, which were used for heating buildings. The suggested heating system is composed of solar collectors with a total area of 44.16 m2 and with a volume flow of hot water to the consumer of 1.5 m3/h. Computer-aided heating circuit consists of traditional circuits, composed of solar collectors, circulation pump and a lamellar heat exchanger. Additionally, the scheme is extended by a fixed temperature water tank and a circuit, which interfaces the heating systems. They will be in their turn separated by a heat exchanger. The equipment also provides an opportunity of organizing a reverse pairing with the heating systems to return the excess heat into the network. This scheme has several modes of operation. In the conditions of nighttime, cloudy afternoon, light fog or smog water heating is provided by a central source. If during daytime, while being heated directly by the sun the water gets overheated the overheated water discharge mode is switched on automatically to discharge excess heat to a central heating system. The scheme provides for a “solar connectors and central source of heat parallel operation mode” to maintain the desired temperature, for example in the morning. According to the results of observations the share of water heating due to the solar collectors in summer is on average about 75%. Shared usage of central source of heat and solar collectors allows to efficiently use the available energy resources."

  • On the coefficient of prismatic strength of high-strength concrete

    This paper studies the dependence of the ratio of prismatic strength (Rb) from cube strength (R) for high-strength concrete of classes B70 ... B110. Experiments were carried on the concrete cubes with an edge of 150 mm and prisms with a base 150x150 mm and a height 600 mm. The tendency to reduce the ratio Rb / R with increasing strength of the concrete is founded. A new relationship Rb = f (R) is offered

  • Design of hotels for the climatic conditions of the mountains and foothills of Southern Russia

    Recommendations are given for the decision of the master plan , space planning and architectural design hotel, located in the mountainous regions of Southern Russia. In the design and orientation of the residential floors of hotels to consider an overview of the numbers of interesting species. In the design of the hotel at the foot of a steep slope is advisable to use the gallery schematic layout of residential floor gallery and orient the unfavorable shaded side of the building . When equal landscape conditions, you can use a corridor plan structure with the location of the rooms on either side. For hotels located in mountainous areas, is characterized by two main approaches to their architectural solutions : contrast harmonic landscape or merge with them.

  • The structure and main design principles of space-graphic elements of the Museum exposition

    In the field of the Museum exposition design in Russia and abroad considerable experience has accumulated. However currently we can state the absence of a comprehensive approach to create a coherent exposition system Exhibition – exhibition space. In this scientific article we formulated the concept of Space-graphic element. We have identified the structure, types and variants of use of space-graphic elements, as a special category of exposition tools in exhibition spaces. We have identified the main technical and compositional principles of space-graphic elements design. The use of those principles will allow organizing a coherent unity system Exposition – exhibition space. Concept of space-graphic elements is useful in the development of Museum and exposition activity.

  • About the question of deformability flexural elements of heavy concrete with the location carbon fiber and composite reinforcement in two rows

    The article discusses issues related to the study of the influence on the deformability of concrete beams of heavy concrete reinforcing steel to replace the carbon fiber arranged in two rows. Found that delamination of the composite beams with reinforcement throughout the range of loads up to 46-54% compared with the reference.

  • About the strength of beams of heavy concrete using steel, carbon fiber and combined reinforcement located in two rows

  • Method of an assessment of durability of metal in the nondestructive way with use of aprioristic information.

    Considered the questions connected with estimation of mechanical properties of steel elements of metal construction. The measurements are performed in a non-destructive method on the basis of the analysis of the characteristics of the implementation of the conical indenter in surface materials. This method allows you to get the values of all mechanical characteristics of metal. The measurement of mechanical characteristics can be made to anywhere in the design. At the same time, when large amounts of construction and large volumes of measuring works, you need to evaluate a sufficient number of measurements in a particular place. Proposed and implemented the Bayesian method of consideration of a priori information to reduce the number of dimensions and complexity of the process of receiving mechanical characteristics.

  • Determination of load capacity of soil conditions TYPE II subsidence piles of library materials FIELD TEST PILES OF STATIC LOAD

    In the article, which is a review, the question about the use of library materials in the design of pile foundation in subsidence soils. Topic is relevant for engineers faced with the design of buildings and structures on the subsiding soils. States the reason for the consideration of the designated theme, coming out of the normative documents, as well as from the practice of static load test of piles.   • The differences calculate columns of high-Concrete according to the norms

    The article presents the results of calculations of reinforced concrete columns of high-strength concrete on the SNiP and SP. Compared the results with experimental data.   • Construction of parking lots in crowded urban areas

    The article is devoted to the problem of shortage of parking spaces in Rostov-on-Don, as well as domestic and foreign experience in the construction of above-ground parking spaces in crowded conditions prevailing urban environment. As a solution considered construction of automatic car parks in the walls of the old damaged buildings, as one of the components of the program of the Administration of Rostov to improve the traffic situation in the city. The article shows few examples of functioning of such parking lots in Moscow, Budapest, Detroit (Ohio, USA). Also the article concludes about the opportunities and challenges of the work on the adaptation of buildings for parking in Rostov-on-Don.

  • Determination of deflections of beams with corrugated web with the shear strain

    This article is devoted to the analytical determination of deflections of beams with corrugated web. The reduced shear modulus which must be considered when determining the components deflection from of the shear strain in the beam with corrugated web is defined. Applying the energy method in the form of the Ritz, the problem of determining deflections with considering of bending strain and shear strain is solved. This article, as an example, is considered simply supported beam on both sides of constant and variable cross-section and are given to the final formulas according with three kinds of loading. The results of the calculation of the numerical examples for the three main shapes of corrugated web are submitted. Numerical results with great accuracy are consistent with calculations based on the finite element method.

  • Software for stereovisualization of FEM simulating results

    The presented work extends the state-of-art of visualization construction simulations in three dimensions (3D). Classical computer graphics methods can be used to instrument construction models to automatically generate dynamic visualizations of any construction models. The visualization problem of FEM analysis is considered. A description is presented of programs of convertation and visualization of results of finite element method analysis of geodesic domes.

    The article describes the experience of designing buildings of kindergartens abroad. Recommendations for inclusion in the structure kindergartens new functional groups of rooms : classrooms ( or workshop ) for painting or sculpture , rooms for classes choreography, sensory rooms , apartments or head teachers.   • On matters concerning improvement of energy performance of multi-storey housing blocks

    At the present stage, energy-efficient construction is one of the important issues included in the legislation in most countries. One of the promising ways of lowering thermal energy demand for heating is to reduce heat losses with air exchange in buildings, which accounts for over 60% of heat loss.
    Civilizational development of the society is only possible with the decrease in specific energy consumption and economical use of heat. The article discusses the main methods to improve energy performance of buildings under construction and operation. It also addressed issues of investment in energy efficiency projects. The article substantiates the effectiveness of the combined extract and input ventilation with heat recovery of vented emissions in Rostov- on-Don.
