  • Reconstruction of the overpass as a safety requirement

    Issues related to the safe operation of the transport system as a whole. The article touches upon the questions on how to repair the car in Volgograd. In the city, this guide is the only link in the area. Long-term operation of the overpass led to the accumulation of a large number of defects and damages that prevented it from being fully used. Accounting for all aspects of the safe use of the way to ensure its sustainable functioning. The measures ensuring the safe operation of transport facilities include: increasing the dimensions of the roadway of the overpass, strengthening structures to increase the carrying capacity to normative work, processing and storing seismic precipitation on the span, installing a video camera for rapid response in case of traffic accidents and illegal actions. To increase the load-bearing structures, the new beams should be replaced with new beams, designed for high loads, and also use composite reinforcement with carbon fiber.

    This article deals with the problem of coping with changing climate environment in houses and close ties with wear and tear of buildings. The authors analyze the state of housing stock in town Shakhty and perspectives of improving people’s life quality. For this purpose, a number of full-scale studies were carried out to analyze defects of enclosing structures to prove that they are significantly connected with temperature environment of living quarters. To regulate the basic parameters, the authors choose an integrated monitoring system allowing the researchers to determine a special approach to assessing the buildings’ structure states based on joint result of examining building structure states and air environment.

  • "Algorithm of definition of local characteristics curve surfaces"

    In article the graphic method of definition of local characteristics of the curve surfaces of the difficult geometrical nature set by the two images on the projective drawing is considered.   • The new effective technology of embankments monolith retaining walls constructing

    In this article the necessity of improvement of embankments retaining walls concreting technology is substantiated. The research results of falsework material influence on grinding layer properties of monolith construction are adduced. The methods of concrete protective layer durability improvement and surface decorative relief forming are suggested. This method is recommended for usage in building and reconstruction of retaining walls superelevation of city embankments.

  • Development of modern energy-efficient air-conditioning centers of air conditioning and ventilation systems

    In the article discusses the features of work air handling unit (AHU) based on spray chamber (SC), developed the design of the test bench and presents the results of the tests SC, identify ways to improve them, particularly in the lower part of the workspace was placed plane-parallel packing. It was established experimentally that the efficiency of processes of heat and moisture transfer increased by an average of 6 - 10%.

  • Reconstruction of the bridge over the Olenye River in Volgograd Region

  • Investigation of the effectiveness of polymer fiber in fine-grained concrete Investigation of the effectiveness of polymer fiber in fine-grained concrete

    The paper describes the effect of dosage of polypropylene fiber on mixture consistency, flexural strength and compression strength and impact strength of fine-grained concrete. It was established that introduction of fiber leads to a certain decrease of consistency of the mixture, but bleeding are significantly decreases. It was found that the reason for the decrease in strength characteristics of concrete with addition of fiber can be related to heterogeneity of distribution of additive in material volume. Therefore, in order to increase the efficiency of use of fiber, necessary to use methods for preparing mixtures with fiber, which ensure a high uniformity of distribution of the additive in material. It was shown that micro-reinforcement increases impact resistance, even with insufficient quality mixing

  • Research of stress-strain state of the main deck of fixed offshore platforms by the finite difference method

    Study of stress-strain state of the construction using the Finite Difference Method. Obtained the matrix of coefficients of resolving equations. To assess the convergence of the calculation results were compared with the known numerical solutions.

  • Parametric optimization of a trapezoidal wooden truss with ascending braces on metal toothed plates

    The results of research on the parametric optimization of a trapezoidal wooden truss with ascending braces on metal toothed plates are presented. A deterministic algorithm is developed and a program is developed that allows finding optimal farm parameters from the condition of minimizing the volume of wood, given the initial conditions. The optimum parameters for the farm span of 24 meters were determined for a given value of the external load, diagrams of the dependence of the objective function on the variable parameters.

    The results of large-scale field experiments to study the interaction of the bases with different shapes and sizes of the protrusions at the bottom with an inhomogeneous loess foundation . It is shown that the protrusion at the base of a significant effect on the VAT base .

  • Consideration of the road accident mechanism on crossing of roads at an obtuse angle

    In article traffic safety of vehicles at the movement at intersections is considered. Possibility of a road accident is estimated. In article the interval of time at which TC2 becomes an obstacle for TC1 is defined and there can be a collision of the vehicles moving at an obtuse angle. Parameters of the movement of vehicles necessary for development of mathematical model are also determined.

  • Сalculation of circular cylindrical shell by bending theory taking into account creep

    The general equations of the moment theory of a circular cylindrical shell with creep are considered: static, geometric and physical. We solve the problem of determining the stress-strain state of a shell rigidly clamped in the base when an internal hydrostatic pressure acts on it. The problem has reduced to a linear nonhomogeneous differential equation of the fourth order with respect to deflection. The solution was performed numerically by the finite difference method in the Matlab software package. As a law of connection between creep strains and stresses, the generalized nonlinear Maxwell-Gurevich equation was used. To determine the creep strains, a linear approximation of the first time derivative was used. The shell was made from secondary PVC, and as a result, it was found that in the process of creep in the shell, the circumferential stresses increase by 15%.

  • Monitoring of geometrical parameters of running wheels of the polar crane

    the article presents the study in the control of the geometric parameters of wheels of cranes circular steps. The options considered to determine the radii of the wheels by indirect methods, of which the most effective are those based on the construction of the measuring triangle at the open part of the forming. As the final results and proposals noted the following: both control provide almost ravnovesnye results definitions of the geometric parameters of the wheels; more universal is the way to control the radius of the wheel, using calipers and this method is recommended when addressing these and similar problems.

  • Strength study depending on water-cement content

    To date, almost none modern construction site can do without the use of cement. Ease of use and financial accessibility make this material indispensable for most construction works. Therefore, it is very important that the cement stone obtained during construction meets the necessary requirements when erecting construction projects. The theoretical aspect of the issue of dependence of the water-cement ratio on strength is considered in the article. A number of experiments were performed, taking into account the experience of other researchers with the aim of determining the reliability of data, obtained earlier. The results obtained during the experiment confirmed that the increase in water-cement leads to a decrease in the strength of the cement stone.

  • Influence of physicomechanical characteristics of clay soils on the bearing capacity of single conical drilling-injection piles

    The paper presents the results of mathematical modeling of the behavior of a single conical bore injecting pile from the action of static compressive loads, as well as the effect of physical and mechanical characteristics of soils on its draft. The study was carried out by the finite element method in a nonlinear setting, taking into account the slippage of the soil along the contact surface of the pile. Comparative assessments are given on the example of the calculation of a single conical drilling-injection pile, and quantitative dependences of the effect of the characteristics of clay soils on its bearing capacity are shown.

  • Asphalt concrete mixtures based on modified bitumen binder

    The article notes the need to ensure the quality of road surfaces by using modified bituminous binders. It is emphasized that this problem is typical not only for Russia, but also for other countries. Areas of application of modified bituminous binders are described. Compositions and technology of hot asphalt-concrete mixtures with the use of modified bitumen are proposed. It is pointed out that asphalt mixes prepared on the basis of modified bitumen give high strength parameters and meet the requirements of existing state standards. The results of experimental and theoretical studies, published by the authors, will allow us to study in more detail the properties and technologies of other types of asphalt-concrete mixtures in the future

  • The effect of decrease gas load consumers on optimally pressure of gas supply source

    The hydraulic test of perfect dead-end gas network with gas supply source and one consumer is performed by two ways: 1) natural experiment 2) the modelling of system in the specific programmatic sphere. Comparative analysis of natural experiment with the software simulation is performed. The effect of decrease gas load of consumers on optimally pressure of gas supply source is studied. The impact of the selective method of the calculation on the optimal huidraulic mode choice of the network function is analysed. The grafic relations are formed. The coefficient of optimum pressure is calculated and that makes it possible to determine the most adequate pressure of gas as it leaves the gas supply source on the basis of the pressure requirements in gas-based units.
